2004 MOURVEDRE CONTRA COSTA COUNTY

Mourvedre is a grape of Spanish origin and popular in Southern France.  There are only a handful of wineries in California that specialize in this Rhone-style wine that is mild and medium bodied with spicy cherry and berry flavors.  It is yummy with chicken apple sausage. Mourvedre is marvelous!
